Paris Saint-Germain dismiss reports of players’ night out after Barcelona defeat

Paris Saint-Germain have dismissed reports that Blasie Matuidi and Marco Verratti partied until the early hours on Monday night.

It was reported by French newspaper L’Equipe on Friday that the pair were spotted in a Paris nightclub on Monday night, less than 48 hours before their side’s 6-1 Champions League humiliation at Barcelona.

Matuidi and Verratti reportedly attended the event organised by Puma, the sportswear manufacturer, just two days before the trip to Spain, which has prompted some outrage from PSG supporters.

However, the French titans moved swiftly to deny the rumours on Friday and hit out at the paper for their accusations.
